Space Age: A Cosmic Adventure App Reviews

Nice art, nice music, slow writing

There are many nice things about this game. Its an impressive piece of work. But all the pieces dont quite come together. The writing is not sharp enough. The game moves too slowly as a game, and too slowly as a story.

Holy Crap.

This was the best game I have ever played on iOS. The story was phenomenal and every time the beginning music played I got the jitters, the good kind. In the future I hope there is a sequel to this game and I wish more people would get this game.

Just awesome.

Ok so I got this game because I was bored. To be honest, I like it and all features, except, the price. I beat the game in an easy 4-5 hours. For three dollars, I mean......its ok tho. I do think it requires great strategy or thinking. Love that. Keep on going

LEGITIMATE REVIEW

Do not trust all the one-star reviews. Im an avid mobile gamer, and never before had I played such a complex, detailed game on the simple iOS platform. Space Age has a compelling story and even better gameplay/gameplay mechanics. Its relatively short but trust me when I say it has high replay value. Five stars, bravo, Big Bucket.

My first poor review got "erased"

Im irked to see that my negative review was somehow erased for this awful game, but here I go again: This game is BORING, not "cute", or clever, or funny. It has nothing innovative about it, the story does not contain nearly as big a twist as its creators probably think theyve created, and its definitely not worth the price whatsoever.

Enjoyable

Not long nor groundbreaking, Space Age delivers an interesting story with nostalgic gameplay of moderate difficulty. The pixel art is great. At $2 its a great buy and a fun ride. Dont expect too much and take it for what it is and youll be satisfied.

Odd, retro space adventure

Considering its designed by two people with a third creating a nice soundtrack it is a very solid game that keeps you moving through the story and levels at a moderate pace. At times the story wonders but is just the right length so that it neither feels rushed or too long. The words disappear twice as fast as one would expect but is done in interest of keeping storyline moving. You use a team of characters who perform specific jobs to complete each level. Overall the game is worth the adventure. I felt a 3 to 4 star rating throughout the game without any 5 star moments of "this is awesome" ever occurring.

This was a lot of fun.

This was a lot of fun.

I like the game but...

Im not liking Winfield because the part where I have to distract the technicians with the dog is so hard!!!

Refund! Worst game ever

Bad graphics, bad dialogue, bad concept, bad execution, waste of time, pointless, makes you dumber every minute you play it. I hate games like these where the designer has some obscure detailed "solution" in mind, and your job is to stumble around randomly until you accidentally do what he intended. You probably will come up with 12 more interesting solutions before you try his, and then you will feel like an idiot for guessing for so long. Its like playing charades with a moron: not fun, frustrating and a waste of time.

Great storyline, but poor control

The storyline is really great, but I dont like the control. Thats the reason I didnt give 5 stars

Good but not enough

I really liked this game. It is a story game. Maybe I should have known, but I beat the game in 2 days. Really 1.5 days. Im really bummed I payed like 3 $ for such a short game. Yes I liked it. But it should take a lot longer than it did!

BORING!!!

Made it to level 4 and stopped playing. I hope the game gets 1000% better starting at level 5 but those with short attention spans stay away from this game. If it was free I would download this game but $2.99 for over cliched 80s graphics and slow story build up does not cut it anymore!

Update soon

This game is great but a bit short. Hopefully a big update is on the way

Awful control

I want to like this game, I really do, but the control and the A.I. of your characters when you want them to walk somewhere is so bad that Ive been trying to be level 11 for about 2 hours now. Youd think I would have accidentally beaten it at this point, but no. Their behavior when their squadmates are getting attack is ridiculous, and I would say it could be fixed by micromanaging them but thats just not possible either because you have about .5 seconds between the time an enemy shows up and before you get one-shotted. Whoever made this game never let other people test it, and they clearly have no idea how difficult and unwieldy the game combat mechanics and squad control is. Im demanding my money back on this one because its simply not possible until the developer does some tuning.

Quirky Fun! One suggestion.

Hi Space Age creator! Im loving playing on my apple tv. Controlling it with the touch remote works like a dream. One thing though. Instead of using the play button to recenter the screen, maybe there should be a toggle that locks the camera to center on the character. This would work much better on AppleTV i think. I keep pressing the siri button by accident. Thanks!!

New Apple TV

Thanks for the port!!!

Lots of fun and thanks!

I enjoyed playing this game quite a bit on my iPad. Now I get to install it on my new Apple TV, enjoy it in a new way and share it with others. The developer making the app upwardly compatible inspired me to come give it the 5 star rating I have always intended it should have.

Useless update notes.

"Performance updates and bug fixes" or similar wording isnt an update, its filler. If youre squishing bugs, tell me what those bugs are.

Raises the bar

An amazing and beautiful game, with a killer soundtrack to boot. I dont usually rate a game before finishing it but its so well done!
